About Akshar
Akshar is a small showcase for poems, short stories and novel excerpts written in Gujarati, Hindi and English. Each piece lives fully in the language it was written in — nothing here is a translation.
Choosing a language at the top of any page filters the entire site: the menus, the labels and the writing itself, so a Gujarati poem sits inside a Gujarati reading experience from end to end.
How writing gets published
This is currently a static site, built from plain text files rather than a database. Every piece is a markdown file with a small block of details at the top — title, author, language, form, tags — and the writing below it. A build step turns those files into the pages you're reading.

What's next
The plan is to grow this into a full platform: reader accounts, a subscription for supporters, and a proper admin screen for publishing without touching files directly. That will mean adding a database and authentication behind the same reading experience you see today.
अक्षर गुजराती, हिंदी और अंग्रेज़ी में लिखी कविताओं, कहानियों और उपन्यास-अंशों के लिए एक छोटा मंच है। यहाँ हर रचना उसी भाषा में पूरी तरह मौजूद है जिसमें वह लिखी गई थी — यह कोई अनुवाद नहीं है।
किसी भी पेज के ऊपर भाषा चुनने पर पूरी साइट उसी भाषा में फ़िल्टर हो जाती है — मेनू, लेबल और लेखन खुद भी — ताकि हिंदी की कविता शुरू से अंत तक हिंदी के अनुभव के भीतर ही रहे।
रचनाएँ कैसे प्रकाशित होती हैं
अभी यह एक स्थिर (static) साइट है, डेटाबेस की जगह सादी टेक्स्ट फ़ाइलों से बनी है। हर रचना एक मार्कडाउन फ़ाइल है जिसके ऊपर एक छोटा विवरण-खंड होता है — शीर्षक, लेखक, भाषा, विधा, टैग — और नीचे लेखन। एक बिल्ड चरण इन फ़ाइलों को उन पन्नों में बदल देता है जिन्हें आप पढ़ रहे हैं।
content फ़ोल्डर में मार्कडाउन फ़ाइल डालकर रिपॉज़िटरी में पुश की जाती है। पाठकों को केवल तैयार परिणाम दिखता है — अभी सार्वजनिक सबमिशन फ़ॉर्म नहीं है।
आगे क्या
योजना है कि यह एक पूरा मंच बने: पाठक खाते, समर्थकों के लिए सदस्यता, और सीधे फ़ाइलें छुए बिना प्रकाशित करने के लिए एक उचित एडमिन स्क्रीन। इसके लिए आज के इसी पठन अनुभव के पीछे डेटाबेस और प्रमाणीकरण (authentication) जोड़ा जाएगा।
અક્ષર ગુજરાતી, હિન્દી અને અંગ્રેજીમાં લખાયેલી કવિતાઓ, વાર્તાઓ અને નવલકથાના અંશો માટેનું એક નાનું મંચ છે. અહીં દરેક રચના જે ભાષામાં લખાઈ છે તેમાં જ સંપૂર્ણ રીતે હાજર છે — આ કોઈ અનુવાદ નથી.
કોઈપણ પાનાની ઉપર ભાષા પસંદ કરવાથી આખી સાઈટ એ ભાષામાં ફિલ્ટર થાય છે — મેનૂ, લેબલ અને લેખન પોતે પણ — જેથી ગુજરાતી કવિતા શરૂઆતથી અંત સુધી ગુજરાતી અનુભવની અંદર જ રહે.
રચનાઓ કેવી રીતે પ્રકાશિત થાય છે
હાલમાં આ એક સ્થિર (static) સાઈટ છે, ડેટાબેઝને બદલે સાદી ટેક્સ્ટ ફાઈલોમાંથી બનેલી. દરેક રચના એક markdown ફાઈલ છે જેની ઉપર એક નાનો વિગત-વિભાગ હોય છે — શીર્ષક, લેખક, ભાષા, સ્વરૂપ, ટૅગ — અને નીચે લેખન. એક બિલ્ડ સ્ટેપ આ ફાઈલોને તમે વાંચી રહ્યાં છો એ પાનાંમાં ફેરવે છે.
content ફોલ્ડરમાં markdown ફાઈલ મૂકીને રિપોઝિટરીમાં પુશ કરવામાં આવે છે. વાચકોને ફક્ત તૈયાર પરિણામ જ દેખાય છે — હજુ જાહેર સબમિશન ફોર્મ નથી.
આગળ શું
યોજના છે કે આ એક સંપૂર્ણ મંચ બને: વાચક ખાતાં, સમર્થકો માટે સબસ્ક્રિપ્શન, અને ફાઈલોને સીધો સ્પર્શ કર્યા વગર પ્રકાશિત કરવા માટે યોગ્ય એડમિન સ્ક્રીન. આ માટે આજના આ જ વાંચન અનુભવ પાછળ ડેટાબેઝ અને ઓથેન્ટિકેશન ઉમેરવામાં આવશે.
